Raymond Pettibon's band working on new album

A few days ago, Mike Watt posted a picture of himself, Raymond Pettibon, and other musicians recording in a studio. He stated, "sunday I got to witness [ [Super Session] ]>… after twentyfive-something years - they're now making THE album!" It seems that Pettibon's short lived 90s band Super Session is now recording, with Watt on bass. If anything else develops, we will let you know. See the tweet and a Super Session performance below.

Tours: Pinata Protest to go on nationwide tour

San Antonio-based 'Tex-Mex' punks Piñata Protest are taking their act on a nationwide US tour this Autumn, which will include a hop across the border to Vancouver. Their most recent album, El Valiente was released in 2013 via Saustex Media / Cosmica Records. Night Birds announce 'Who Killed Mike Hunchback?' (Original Demos Series #2)

Night Birds have announced that they will be releasing the next installment of Fat Wreck Chords's Original Demo Series (the first being NOFX's Sid & Nancy 7-inch) on October 7, 2016. The release is called Who Killed Mike Hunchback?, which features the band's first guitarist Mike Hunchback. It will contain six tracks and have a one-time vinyl pressing of 1,500 copies.

Break-ups: DROPTHIS announce break-up, final show

UK's DROPTHIS have announced via their Facebook page that they will be splitting up. Their final gig, where they will be playing in support of Authority Zero, will be on Wednesday, Aug 24th at New Cross Inn in London.

Formed in 2013, the band has released two EPs and one full-length, Culture to Criticise, which was released this past May. You can listen to the track "No Hard Feelings" from that album below.
